Please read these Privacy Terms carefully before you start using the online store, the online store’s features, or services. The Privacy Terms are an integral part of the Agreement between the Customer and Fairfood Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Fairfood) and the Sales Terms.
- Collection and Processing of Personal Data
1.1. Fairfood collects and processes the following personal data of the Customer:
1.1.1. Customer’s first and last name;
1.1.2. Customer’s email address;
1.1.3. Customer’s phone number;
1.1.4. Customer’s address;
1.1.5. Communication between the Customer and Fairfood;
1.1.6. Customer’s IP address;
- Use of Cookies in the Online Store
2.1. Fairfood uses cookies to optimize website traffic and analyze the Customers’ usage of the website. If the Customer has not set their browser to refuse all or certain types of cookies, cookies will be issued as soon as the Customer visits the online store.
2.2. Fairfood uses the following types of cookies:
2.2.1. Google Analytics cookies are used to analyze the Customer’s behavior to improve the website. These cookies provide Fairfood with information about the number of website visitors, the pages they visit, and the duration of their visit. All information collected through cookies is aggregated with similar information from other customers and is therefore anonymous. Fairfood does not identify individual users.
2.2.2. Session cookies are used to maintain the functionality of the website. This allows Fairfood to link the Customer’s activities with the browser session, which begins and ends when the Customer opens and closes their browser window. The session cookie consists of temporary information and is deleted when the Customer leaves the browser.
2.3. With the Customer’s prior consent, Fairfood uses the following cookies:
2.3.1. Facebook Pixel cookies are used by Fairfood to target ads to the Customer and analyze the flow of ads, which leads to the Customer’s web traffic being tracked by Facebook.
2.4. The Customer always has the option to control cookies through their browser settings. If the Customer prefers not to receive cookies, they can set their browser to refuse all cookies or send a warning when a cookie is issued.
- Purpose of Processing Personal Data
3.1. The personal data collected about the Customer is processed solely for the purpose of providing the Service, enabling the Service, and enabling the use of the online store, including the following purposes:
3.1.1. fulfilling the order placed in the online store;
3.1.2. managing customer relationships and communication with the customer;
3.1.3. conducting and analyzing sales and customer base analytics;
3.1.4. improving the usability and services of the online store;
3.1.5. improving the usability of the online store based on data stored in cookies.
- Method of Processing Personal Data
4.1. Customer’s personal data is processed only to the extent that it has become known to Fairfood through the online store purchase process, order preparation, and fulfillment.
4.2. The collected personal data is stored and retained solely for the purposes specified in this document in section 5.
- Retention and Protection of Personal Data
5.1. All personal data collected about the Customer is stored on servers located in the countries of the European Union or the European Economic Area.
5.2. Personal data related to the Customer that Fairfood uses to fulfill the Agreement and ensure the fulfillment of the Agreement is retained for up to 3 years from the time the respective personal data comes into Fairfood’s possession. Accounting base documents are retained for 7 years in accordance with the accounting law.
5.3. Access to the Customer’s personal data is only granted to Fairfood’s employees and members of governing bodies who have the right to use personal data only in connection with providing the Service and managing the online store.
5.4. According to applicable laws, Fairfood may have additional obligations to retain certain personal data.
- Sharing of Personal Data
6.1. Fairfood does not disclose the Customer’s personal data to third parties, except in the following cases:
6.1.1. For the provision of the Service (delivery of the order placed in the online store), the necessary personal data is forwarded to Fairfood’s contractual partners Omniva/SmartPosti/DPD/Venipak/FedEx/Nordics Fulfillment and only the essential personal data is provided on the shipping label;
6.1.2. For the delivery of the order, the Customer’s personal data is forwarded to Nordics Fulfillment Ltd ‘s self-service environment to create a shipping label for product delivery to the Customer;
6.1.3. To process payments, the necessary personal data is forwarded to the authorized payment processor, Maksekeskus AS.
6.1.4. To ensure the fulfillment of the Agreement.
- Customer’s Rights Related to Personal Data
7.1. The Customer has the right to access the personal data collected and processed about them and the right to request the correction of inaccurate personal data.
7.2. If the processing of personal data is prohibited under applicable law, the Customer has the right to request the termination of personal data processing and the blocking or deletion of processed personal data.
7.3. If the processing of personal data violates the Customer’s rights, they have the right to contact the Data Protection Inspectorate or the court, unless otherwise provided by law.
7.4. If the Customer’s rights have been violated in the processing of personal data, the Customer has the right to claim compensation for the damage caused.
