Vitamin D3 is an essential micronutrient. Vitashine D3® is a natural source (cholecalciferol) from which the body produces the final form of vitamin D3 (calcitriol), which has many functions (bones, immune system, etc.). Also, sunlight only generates cholecalciferol in the skin, which may not always be produced in sufficient quantities to ensure sufficient calcitriol production. Therefore, Vitashine D3® intake is prudent to avoid a possible calcitriol deficiency (the MCT coconut oil medium makes its absorption from the gastrointestinal tract very good).
